As General Manager, Doug Towne will manage day-to-day business functions and core operations at Ultimate Support’s Loveland, Colorado office, as well as continuing in his role of OEM Manager. During his eighteen-year tenure at Ultimate Support Systems, Towne has held the positions of Manager of Domestic Sales and Customer Support, Music Division; Manager of Sales, Medical Division; and Manager of Sales, OEM Division. In his role as General Manager, Towne will increase the efficiency of Ultimate Support’s business processes from product design, to manufacturing to delivery to the dealer base. This objective will be accomplished by identifying and prioritizing product development projects while satisfying time and budget requirements, recognizing emergent opportunities while improving communication with contract manufacturers, and developing expanded management standards for Ultimate Support’s intellectual property. Additionally, Towne will facilitate structure and team cohesiveness where routine activities aggressively support corporate goals.
“Ultimate Support has a 30 year history of bringing unique, innovative products to the market, backed by outstanding customer service. This year at NAMM 2008, we introduced over 40 new products, so in order to keep pace with our growth curve, my primary focus will be process analysis and improved information flow to achieve corporate objectives. I’m pleased about my role in reinforcing and growing the Ultimate Support brand,” says Towne.
Because of the many positions he has fulfilled at Ultimate Support, Doug Towne brings a unique understanding of key elements necessary to manage vast growth levels. I am relying on the leadership, dependability and commitment Doug demonstrates on a daily basis,” says Ultimate Support CEO, Mike Belitz. “Since acquiring Ultimate Support in January of 2007, I’ve put in place players that could drive the company, from a sales and marketing, design and development viewpoint. The addition of Doug Towne as General Manager solidifies the managerial team, allowing the rest of the group to focus on their primary functions. I am confident that we will achieve our goals in these targeted areas.”
